Our History
Milan entrepreneur Stefano Campanella first introduced his exclusive line to the Vancouver market in the early eighties, when he opened boutiques in Oakridge Centre, and on Robson Street. In 1994 he packed up and returned to his native Italy...but he couldn’t stay away. In May of 2007, he returned to Vancouver, and opened the Gemelli Men’s Italian Shirt store on Howe Street. The brand is a private label. Now, after 4 years, Stefano decided to go back to Italy, with his family, to start up new business ventures. However, Stefano and Nicole Rossmo-Rigets have decided to follow in the tradition of the exclusive Gemelli brand, and make the shirts available in an online store.

The Gemelli online store specializes in men’s shirts and ties.
The business model is quite common in Europe; but this was the first store of its kind in Vancouver. All Gemelli shirts are made from high quality double ply Egyptian cotton. Stefano and Nicole choose the fabrics from the most renowned suppliers in Italy. The collection is manufactured exclusively for Gemelli in Milan, and then shipped directly to Vancouver, so Gemelli shirts cost up to 40% less than brand name shirts of similar quality.
